How To Install Truconnex Ground Loop Isolator
Reason for installing the noise filter and ground loop isolator is because I had one loud engine noise and a chattering sound. It has appeared to take care of the noise. Speakers are connected to the AMP on the left/right + /- terminals. 0 0 0 0 mauritron handbag bag tote bag womon fashion handbag bag hot womon bags handbags leather bag leather purse leather bag leather handbag leather.

I decided to play with this today, turned on my CD player, and rounded up a few CDs, reminded myself how to use them (funny what atrophies over time, isn't it?), and played with the Pure Direct settings. I feel like I forgot what things sound like! The one thing I'm uncertain of is if I've still mucked things up. With the proper setting in hand, I poked through BatPig's cheat sheet, and I wanted to keep the 2.1 sound, so I set things to LFE+Main.
Even in a lossless format, I kind of feel like I'd just grown accustomed to what processed sound is like. There is a presence and aliveness in the sound today that I'd just forgotten. Digital storage means not having to buy two extra rooms to house the CDs, but today feels like a rediscovery. Am I still fooling myself by turning the LFE+Main on to force 2.1 sound? Will there be a similar awakening if I pick up the Oppo DAC and run my lossless through it without having to rummage for CDs? Does this really mean I don't need to go pop for a second amp and speakers to make the Oppo perform to its full capabilities? I've enjoyed my 2112, and I was wondering if the analog route really was still valid through the box.
BTW, in Pure Direct mode, once everything is set, the display goes blank. Alter the volume and it displays the change, then goes blank. Change to anything else that is not using Pure Direct and it all comes back. Is this normal?

Thanks anyway.
I'm upgrading my TV setup from FullHD to 4K+HDR and was wondering if my Denon 1912 is able to pull this off. Currently all my external devices (laptop, ps4pro, apple tv etc.) connect via HDMI cables to the 1912 and from 1912 I have a single HDMI going to my 1080p TV. Are there any limitations to using the same setup with 4K? Or is video a separate topic from the audio in this case and shouldnt matter?
Thanks!
'Every step in your AV chain (the expensive devices into which you plug the cables) generally must be HDMI 2.0a for HDR to work. As in, your TV, receiver and source all have to be HDMI 2.0a, and usually require HDCP 2.2 copy protection too. If your TV is HDR, it almost certainly has at least one HDMI input with 2.0a/2.2.'
Denon XX12 vintage does not have HDMI 2.0a. Get a newer receiver.

'In Standby they will use 0.1W with HDMI Control OFF and about 2.2W with HDMI Control or Network Standby/IP Control set to ON.'
Has the 2312 standby power consumption been measured with HDMI Control on? The 2310 was reported as drawing ~30W in standby with HDMI Control on.
What changed to reduce the 2312 standby consumption with HDMI Control on so significantly?

Once I was able to move the cable and the buzzing disappeared until I moved and reconnected the audio cable again. This happened only once and moving the audio cable currently has no effect on the buzzing sound.
Th 3.5mm stereo audio cable from the PC audio out is connected to a 3.5mm to RCA stereo Y spitter that's connected to the Denon V.Aux in on the front panel.
After going into the AVR-1612 setup and playing around with various settings and adjustments including cross-over frequency, etc. The buzzing has subsided somewhat when the AVR's volume is around -10 - 12 db however it's starts to become significant at around -8 db, higher volumes the buzzing starts to become bad again.
I'm planning on purchasing a Ground Loop Isolator such as a Boss B25N. Also perhaps getting another audio cable and installing some ferrite cord noise suppressors on both ends of the audio cable.
I'm wondering what else I can do to test and eliminate the buzzing noise? Try other connectors and cables?
I'm unable to isolate the interference that's causing the buzzing. I've tried moving around and reconnecting the speakers and cables. Moving the PC to AVR audio cable, moving around any other cables near the PC, AVR and speakers.

I have some older heavy duty insulated RCA stereo audio cables, leftovers from my old school audio equipment, used with a Teac SX series reel to reel tape deck
PC > (3.5mm male to 2 x RCA female stereo Y adapter) >
> (Better insulated L/R stereo RCA cord) >
> (RCA stereo ground isolator) > AVR RCA stereo audio aux. input
Instead of using a thinner 3.5mm audio cord (with 3.5mm male connectors) having less insulation.
Current install: PC => (3.5mm male = thinner stereo audio cord = 3.5mm male) => 3.5mm to RCA Y adapter > AVR rca stereo aux. input.
Ordered the Boss BN25 and found a better 3.5mm cable and a Y adapter on MonoPrice.com.

However eventually when I install some new cabinets, pull all the cords, plugs and wiring to determine the actual cause of the noise.
What could go wrong?

emptek towers and center
i find the treble somewhat lacking. not lively enough for me but dont want a klipsch finger on chalkboard screeching sound
i understand the empteks are a neutral type speaker
but is there any way to up the treble a little like a treble control? i turned dynamic eq off and i think that helped a little, or could just be the placebo effect
also this is wierd. i have a panasonic plasma, i turned viera off but when turning on the avs it defaults to tv unless i turn direct tv and tv on first, then turn the avr on. not sure whats happening there

Monster always makes plenty of noise at CES and this year was no different, with 'Head Monster' Noel Lee – resplendent on his gold Segway – revealing tie-ins with Adidas, the UFC, the World Poker Tour, Lamborghini and any number of US music stars.
There was also time to mention Monster's new Pure Monster Sound seal of sound quality approval, a host of new headphones, including the DNA Pro Wireless, and even a return for Monster's 'retro cables', which of course the brand was built upon.
Arguably the company which pioneered the celebrity tie-in, Dr Dre seems a distant memory for Monster, who now have the likes of Nick Cannon, Shaquille O'Neal and UFC fighter Anthony Fettis.
The main new headphones were the DNA Pro Wireless over-ear headphones, which have wireless aptX Bluetooth, active noise-cancellation and 'buttonless touch-sensing control'. There's the option to have a wired connection if you prefer and you can charge the cans via USB.
Available in Q2 2014, the Monster DNA Pro Wireless headphones come with a $450 price tag.
Also new were the Monster Octagon headphones, the new official headphone of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). UFC is the fastest growing sports organisation of all time, according to Monster, so having cornered a certain corner of the music market, sports seems to be next.
The tie-in with Adidas, which will see Adidas Originals headphones in 2015, is also part of this strategy along with Monster becoming the official headphone supplier for the World Poker Tour – 'the only sport you can play with your headphones on'.
Monster always has an eye on the money no object market, and the Lamborghini relationship is the ultimate example.
The Lamborghini Veneno Roadster, the world's most expensive production car, will now come with a High Performace Audio by Monster in-car sound system. The car costs over £3 million and only nine will be made.
What's more, we hear a rumour that there will also be Monster Lamborghini headphones in the not-too-distant future.
